Our Journey in Action: Past Events & Highlights

At LEAPS, we believe that community engagement is the heartbeat of animal welfare. Over the years, we’ve hit the ground running with everything from high-energy fundraisers to cozy community gatherings. Every event we host is an opportunity to spread awareness, raise vital funds, connect with like-minded animal lovers and celebrate the incredible bond we share with our animals.

Community Booths

You may have spotted our team in the wild! We love setting up shop at local landmarks to meet fellow animal lovers and share our mission.

  • Promenade Pop-ups:  We’ve spent many beautiful days on the Sea Point Promenade, chatting with passers-by (and their furry friends!) about the importance of sterilisation and animal welfare.
  • Local Markets & Festivals: From craft fairs to community days, our booths are always stocked with information, merchandise, and friendly faces.

Bingo & Parties

Who says saving lives can't be a blast? Our social events are legendary for bringing people together for a great cause.

  • Bingo Nights: A fan favorite! Our community bingo nights are filled with prizes, laughter, and high-stakes fun—all dedicated to funding our township outreach programs.
  • Themed Parties: From seasonal celebrations to "just because" bashes, our parties are the perfect way for our supporters to let loose while making a direct impact on animal lives.

Raising the Bar: Dedicated Fundraisers

Our community's generosity never ceases to amaze us. Through various creative campaigns, we work to raise funds to keep our sterilisation programs growing and to respond to emergencies as they arise.

  • Gala Evenings & Auctions: Elegant nights of giving where our biggest supporters come together to invest in the future of animal welfare.
  • Athletic Challenges: Whether it’s sponsored walks or community runs, we love seeing our supporters get active to help us help animals.
